Electric power steering pump question
Hi everyone, I'll start off saying I don't have a Mazda 5, but I am trying to use an electric power steering pump from a 06-10 model year.
I have a 1987 Supra I'm working on engine swapping and I wanted to go with electric power steering to cut out some of the fitment issues I'd run into with keeping the factory power steering on the engine I want to use..
I'm sure there's been a lot of questions and answers on the Mazda 3 pump that plenty of people use, but I came upon a Mazda 5 pump at a good price I didnt want to pass up.
From the wiring diagram I was able to find online, it seems like I should just have to put 12v positive to the gray/blue wire in the 6-wire plug to get it running, but it doesnt seem to agree with me..
So I guess the first question is, could anyone point me towards a more comprehensive wiring diagram for the Mazda 5? Alternatively, could anyone give me a heads up if the pump requires a signal from the steering angle sensor(s) to function; if so, is there any work around that anyone might be aware of?
Thank you in advance to anyone with any input.

one more question..
From what I've read, most steering angle sensors output a 2.4(2.8?) volt, and 0.4 volt signal when the wheels are straight, if I can get those voltages sent into the controller on the correct pins, would this trigger the pump to turn on (while being supplied constant 12v of course) or is there a more sophisticated solution I haven't been able to find?
I haven't been able to find a very in depth guide or answer to get this pump running as of yet..
Thanks
