Default DSC/TCS Warning Light

THe DSC/TCS warning light on my uk 2.0 litre petrol Sport came on and stayed ontoday. The DSC off switch does not work but there are no other warning lights on. Any suggestions, anyone? At least I've got a month of the warranty to go.
There is also a light tapping noise from the nearside rear - probably not related, however.

It's most probably a sensor gone. There should be a fault code logged so diagnosing should be relatively straight forward. Luckily it's still in warranty.

This has happened to ours recently, the yellow DSC Operating warning light is on all the time. The car went in for its annual inspection and I mentioned it to the Dealer, who informed me that Mazda knew about this, as there was a recall duethey would be in touch when it was issued, assured me it was ok to drive, that was aboutsix weeks ago, but then again did I expect to hear from them!!!

It's not OK to drive with the DSC light on. If the light is on the DSC is disabled, which is fine until you lose control and your insurance co. wants to know why you were driving with an important safety feature of your car effectively turned off. Go back to the dealer and insist they sort it out, you don't have to wait for a recall, which may never happen.

Oh goodie, another trip to the dealer. I'm getting to know our bus timetables quite well recently.

Now sorted, Dealer was waiting on DSC units coming from factory, backlog due to the amount of cars needing this done, my own dealer had 3 on order and finally received them in January.
