Mazda5 This new sport van from Mazda offers the interior size and usefulness of a minivan with the feel and spirit of a sport compact.

Does the 5 have an MPG read-out?

Default Does the 5 have an MPG read-out?

Interested in buying a 2008 or newer Mazda 5. Have owned a string of Honda's previously.

Could anyone tell me if there is an MPG indicator? If it does, is it on the central stack or in the main instrument binnacle?

It will be a UK model if that makes any difference.

Thanks.

I have an 08 U.S. model and it does not have a mpg read out, you have to do it the old fashioned way, miles driven divided by gallons of fuel used. not sure on 09 and up though.

Thumbs down

I have a UK spec 55 reg.
yes it has a readout which is the clock, it can display
AVG MPG per trip
MPG live as driving
AVE SPEED per trip
And what range of fuel you have left.

But what I would say is its a load of CRAP.

even on a long trip it will never show me better than 12MPG
even when I know I'm getting 30 buy working it out,

It will tell me I have 200 miles of fuel left then the light will come on after 100!

very poor Not worth it being there

Ours is fairly accurate. We get around 44mpg and the display shows 42. The miles remaining can be adjusted....someone posted how to do it a couple of years ago. I'm sure it would come up in a search.

That's a shame. I have a Honda Civic at the moment and it is reasonably accurate. Thanks for the reply.

Good to know, thanks. Is your's a UK car?

Unrelated, but anyone with a UK car know if the 2008 > models have the air con vents for the 2nd row passengers? Cheers.

It's a 2008 uk 2.0D Sport.
I don't know why some cars show miles/litre. It should be possible to change it, but I don't know how.
