I have an 06 5 speed. The release fork/arm deleveloped a hole it in and the pivot point ball just popped through the part. Translation the part need to be replaced. Clutch was replaced 3ish years ago. The clutch is fine.
since i was in ther i was going to replace the clutch just cos im in there. Ordered a new kit the TOB looks identicale to the old one.
Went to look at the new clutch release fork(crf) and the opening is different
the one i pulled off has a tab on each side to kind ofclip on.
the new one(ordered separately doesnt so it cant clip on to anything.
all of the once i see on ebay/amazon look like the one i bought. None of the seem to habe the 2 tabs on them.
I did look up the and and tob and thos have a different way for the arm to clip to the tob.
There seems to be some differences. Maybe try OE A small price to pay for peace of mind.. I doubt the ones sold on Amazon are OE.
The pivot ball may also need replacing.
Make sure you grease the pivot ball on the new fork with high temp grease.
That "old" fork does not look like it has worn to the point that there is a hole in it. That hole looks like the part was made with the hole in it......no wear marks that I can see. Check the pivot ball to see if it has broken off or something like that.......the new fork looks like the stock Mazda forks for the B2000/B2200 trucks to me.
Got a picture of the inside of the bell housing......and the pivot ball/point?
Interesting you say the hole in the area where the ball pivots is normal. My question is why is it dirty inside the area where the ball would pivot? Surly you would see a clean wear mark.
