Another tyre thread - unusual damage?
I've noticed that the tyres on our Mazda 5 have started to show signs of cracking on the outside set of treads & inbetween the outside set & the next ones in (on the fronts only - I think!)
Anyway, I'd only ever seen this type of 'damage' on really old tyres so I am concerned that it's a problem - does anyone know if this is normal or not?
It's only done about 6k since new...

Slightly surprised & disappointed by the lack of responses. I put the same post on another 'marques' owners forum (my other car) & it's had over 250 hits & about 20 replies....offering loads of advice, info & suggestions.
Anyway - looks like they will need to be replaced - I've got some pics - see links below, if anyone is interested...

I have a mazda 5 also. I have had the bushings replaced twice in 2 years. Now I'm being told that all 4 tires need to be replaced as they are bald from the inside. Also requires an alignment. They are telling me that the alignment is causing the tire problem but I googled the problem with the toyo problems and it seems to be a common and expensive problem.
I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and I have written to Mazda Canada about the issue. I am waiting for a reply.
My car is only 2 years old and I already have to have the tires changed? I don't even have 40,000 kms on it yet. I read that some owners had their tires changed at 25,000 kms. I think Mazda should pay for the replacement of the tires, change tire company because toyo is crap and of course for all the other damages that these bad tires are causing!
