Default 2015 Mazda 5 Alarm and DRL not working after BCM replaced

Recently while driving in the rain my front wipers stopped working. 10 minutes driving and suddenly it gave a full wipe and stopped working again.

Took to a mechanic. Tested new motor but no avail. Tested wires no issue. Determined is the computer module wiper portion dead. Replaced that BCM (Body Control Module?). Wipers now working.

But...

Now noticed alarm doesn't work. I can lock and unlock with key fob but no beep and no lights flashing no matter how many tries. Confirmed does and everything closed. Still won't work.

Also noticed the daytime running lights are not on. While car is on with lights set to auto, no lights are on (no yellow lights or signal lights; just no lights on at all). In the dark, the white headlights turn on.

Any ideas?

Did you fit a new or 2nd hand BCM?

Was the BCM programmed to your unique vehicle?

The shop I went to got it from local Mazda new. But no programming done I think since they just got it from them and installed it (it was relatively quickly done).

Does it need to be programmed? Can it still be done?

Is it the 2015 Mazda 5 or CX-5? CX-5 has 2 BCM and, yes, it needs to be programmed. Either you transfer As-built data from the old module or if it's unavailable, get it from Mazda site using your vehicle VIN number.

Its a 2015 Mazda 5.

Ok I'll ask the shop if they can transfer or else I'll bring it to the local Mazda. Thank you very much!!

Default Fixed and thank you!

FYI in case the answer will help another. Took my Mazda 5 back to Mazda and supposedly they flashed the BCM and now everything is working again (alarm and daytime running lights)

Thanks again to grim_reaper and Mazdaon for your help!
