can't seem to find it

As with most of the vehicles now, it is in the fuel tank and probably attached to the fuel pump. The only way to get to it is to drop the tank.

The question is, "Why do you want to find it on a 2008 vintage car?"

FWIW, fuel filters are typically good for a quarter of a million miles or more on modern cars (the only exception would be if you live and do most of your driving in a very dusty desert).
