will the dealership tint my windows?
i'm at college, and my car sits in an unshaded parking lot, under the sun, 5 days a week. granted it's freezing outside, but i'm terrified of the sun warping my fabric and dash. i want to get my windows tinted to help prevent this, and i'm not sure where to get it done in kansas city, so i'm hoping the dealership will do it for me, but i haven't contacted them yet. also, if anyone has theirs tinted, can you post pics or can you recommend what percent will be the most efficient?
thanks,

DO NOT GO TO THE DEALER SHIP . I own a shop and they mark up the tint jobs and charge the customers up to 350.00( applied to the financing ) dollars. Ask friends for a referral . AGAIN DO NOT GO TO THE DEALERSHIP .[:@]
I would not go to the dealership, unless you know someone who can get you a discount, otherwise it will be high. I had mine done at the dealership, my cousin works there sho she got me half price on the tint, done for $150 instead of $300. The dealership would not go limo on the back though, since it is illegal for the front they didnt even carry it. My front windows are 35% and rear is 25%, it looks nice though.
you have to keep in consideration that the darker your window tint percentage is, the harder it will be to see out of your windows at night. 20-30 percent is pretty good and is legal in most states that I know of.
Yea do not go to the dealer. Im from SF and found a local shop that charged me 200 for 7 windows, I asked the dealer and they were charging me 350 for 5 windows. I have 20% all around and I'll try to post up pics later on.
I have a 15% tint all around with a 6" strip across the top of the windshield. I had a local shop dubbed "Autorageous" do it for me, seven windows and the 6" strip cost $235.00, including a lifetime warranty.
if i didnt have someone that got me the discount at the dealership, I would not have it done there myself, but $150 for the whole car is not a bad deal, and the tint looks clean, plus its warrantied if something happens to it. I am sure shops will warranty the work as well, but i did not check into them
