I've never been there, but it sounds awful,sizzlin. Why do you continue to stay there?
Oregon is one of those "quiet" states you hardly ever hear anything about, good or bad.

 

Well, don't let me give you a bad rap of Oregon as a whole. I was born & raised here and it's truly a beautiful state with a lot of outdoorsy stuff to offer, but Salem is a city that doesn't feel like a city...basically it's a plain downtown with huge suburbs attached and nothing to do but get f-ed up at people's houses, which is what the lifestyle here is like. The only reason I'm here is I am a part business owner and rent a house from the family business for dirt cheap. I still plan to get away (back to CA hopefully, I lived in L.A. for 3 years) but with my expenses so low and a good future here, it's a rough battle of pros and cons!
