Since they have been tested and runout is well within specs, I'm just going to take rockauto's word. But what you said is a true, but I'm not paying O'Reilly to tell me if they are running true.

Yes they are at the manufacturing facility but the shipping and stocking can and does change that.
When we have time or use less quality brands the measure on a brake lath is enough that we machine them to .oo1 so that we dont get customers returning with issues.
If you follow more then one forum platform you will see that even the brands you mention some mebers have complained. Unfortuanatkley they like you tend to read the ads and take things for printed value instead of checking.

Double posting does make it absolute or any more accurate.

I should also mention that Rock Auto is a auto parts authorized distributor of several brands. They often use the advertisments from them and other distributors.
They also use several parts look-up programs whcih altogether is why if you buy parts from them to always go dirstecly to the manufacture for application and all information about the product.

If you contact any of the brake manufacturing companies and ask them "do I need to check for disc run-out" they will or should tell you that it is always a good idea to consider checking them because they have no control of the handling of their product once it leaves their manufacturing facility.

No need to defend your responses . You did a great DIY service job.
I just do different aspects of brakes service and other related brake parts, professionally.

In the service shop I work as part of the free service every disc is checked even new from the box and no matter what the manufacture is before it is installed on the customers vehcle.
We have used all the brands except the one by grimereaper and have not always found l to be totally trued or within acceptable limits or even what should be as stated by the manufacture that may or may not cause some brake feedback in the negative way.
So when I mention it is worth having them checked some members may find that beneficial especially if after they install or have them installed they find later that the parts were not as described and could have been corrected before the installation.

Double posting when your thumb accidentally hits it on your phone is common with me.

Deleting posts is more effort than I'm willing to put into. I've got Honda, Volvo, Subaru, Chevy Impala SS, and Toyota forums to keep up with. Not to mention woodworking, watches, pens forums that I post in. And I won't lie, I haven't figured out how to do it in this forum.

Welcome to the busy world of forums
While you post as a member I own 2 forums and participate to help members and the last count is 11 or 12 semi active . The ones daily currently always this forum and one motorcycle forum. All while at work as Service manager of a very busy Automotive Service shop. And I am really suppose to have retired by now. LOL Did that and got bored. LOL
And yes I have seen you on other forums sorta cut and pasting what you post on this forum... LOL
I never understood that concept and if I said why it would only cause defensive responses. LOL
Why don't you go post in this thread love to read what you post? Maybe read some other members response there as well?
