Default Tyre rubbing on full lock

Hi everyone,

2015 Mazda 3 owner here, new to the forum and hoping someone might be able to help me out! I've done lots of digging on this and can't find anything conclusive, so hoping someone might point me in the right direction and save me having my pants pulled down by Mazda. I'll try and keep it brief.

I had an unexplained puncture (came back to the car and front right was flat, hadn't hit anything), so I had a mobile fitter come and change the tyre. Once I tried to drive off, the car was pulling violently left, practically undriveable. I limped it to the tyre fitter's place and he looked at it for a couple of hours but couldn't see anything obviously wrong with it. However he tracked it straight which has made it driveable.

The car is driving perfectly normally apart from when I have it on full right lock, when the tyre rubs on the wheel arch. Now obviously I can drive around fine without using full right lock, but I'm concerned that there's damage in there which I need to sort out.

I took it to another mechanic who also couldn't find anything wrong with it. Now I presume that the two guys who have looked at it will have checked the 'normal' stuff (suspension etc), and I'm struggling to work out what else it might be. It's obviously a concern if two experienced guys have looked at it for 5 hours combined and not diagnosed it.

Has anyone else had this kind of problem, or heard about anything similar? Any advice would be very much appreciated!

Thank you in advance.

Rick
