Default 2009 Mazda 2 Electrical issues

Try to get to bottom of a problem.

Other day went to car and started it up fine. however found that Indicators didn't work, wipers didn't work front or back. and when i got out and tried to lock the car it wouldn't lock and it half popped the boot latch.

something must have happened that is affecting all these systems.

had an auto electrician have a little look and he couldn't see anything apparent but suggested that it might be the Body Computer at fault which is a dealership thing as would ned programming.

have now given car to dealership (why oh why) and they are looking at but they seem vastly incompetent and are seemingly addressing each fault as seperate incidents.

Can anyone tell me if they know whether the BCU could be the cause of this sort of problem?? or perhaps it some form of earthing issue? spark suggested it may be the central locking has bad earth and is using next best route which in my case is out through the boot lock, causing it to "pop" when trying to lock. it also sounds whirry when sitting in the car as if there is a small amount of current being pushed through it?

any help would be greatly appreciated, as fear Mazda are going to sting me for loads of diagnostic time and not actually get anywhere!
