Yes I think you're right.. I don't know why the towing wouldn't be included in the roadside assistance part of the warrant...I think she was just mad and probley venting on the situation...

As for the knock.. it does sound like there is something in the trunk... and i don't think it happens when I turn the wheel in reverse or anything. Its reversing from a stop then stopping again to put it into drive. That's when I hear the knock...

Now if you are hearing a "rubbing" noise.. that is probley the E-Brake or the braking system. May want to take it in to the dealership get it checked out... I did that, and they inspected all brake systems.. The verdict: I still had over 75% of my brakes left and the E-Brake was fine. Sound only happened when I was on an incline... duh, the car was just shifting to the e-brake's position...

But the knock I need to get checked out! I don't know if it is worth taking my car in for the tranny bulletin or not... the rental car place here that my dealership uses is horrible. and the cars are horrible.!

If anyone takes their car in for these problems, keep the progress / results posted please! Thanks!

Keep me informed too because I heard it again this morning when I am an in reverse exiting out of the garage. It's a low knocking sound like there's something loose in the right trunk area. I only does it once. Crap! I hate trany problems. Especially in new cars![:@]

THERE IS A BULLETIN FOR THAT YEAR AND MODEL -TO REMOVE THE SHAFT AXLES AND LUBE THE SPLINES

THERE IS EXCESSIVE PLAY IN THE AXLES THAT MAKE NOISE---NORMAL FOR THIS VEHICLE JUST SOME LOUDER THEN OTHERS.

Ya, i heard that on some M3s they use old trannys from other sites and reviews and that you DO have to sit and wait for the car to warm up without having to feel the jerking from 1st - 2nd... but hopefully when i get my M3, i'll get a one that has a new one in it... and hopefully they develop the software to improve the shifting on the M3 and ALSO i hope that that problem only exists for sport AT automatic because im learning stick right now to get a manual trans when i get the car. .. man manual is harder than it looks. anyone know how to double-clutch? i been trying it lately with my friend's car. doesn't seem to be working...
