I wanna get a set of 16" steelies and put winter tires on those but I really don't want to have to shell out the ~$250 for the TPMS system. I really don't care about the lack of read-out or the warning light/message that will come on at start-up. Just wondering if I will be able to turn off traction control without the TPMS installed? Heard some cars won't let you turn off traction control with the TPMS missing.

This is a '23/non-turbo/FWD.

The dealer is not likely to answer a SAFETY related question like that!

 

Just curious why is EVERY post you have made since you joined, edit directly after you post something even as simple a Welcome to the forum?????
Most all of us from time to time edit our post but not 100% of them like you?
I have never seen this in on forum except when there was malicious activity from a member like spam, phishing etc.?
Can you explain this?
