Tire Noise
I started a new thread on this.
I have been to the dealer twice about the roar in my 09 M3.
Both times they blamed it on those toyo tires. They have been rotated front to back with no improvement then side to side with noticeable decrease in noise.
Long story short yesterday I noticed all the tires almost worn out at 30k miles.
I went and got 4 new tires and had a 4 wheel alignment and guess what.
All 4 out of alignment. Caster Camber and toe.
A short ride up to about 75 on the Interstate was way quieter than before.
I am gonna suggest if you have good tires and they still make a noticeable noise have the 4 wheel alignment or if you get new tires do it also.
I know the man that did the alignment and usually you have to make an appointment 2 weeks in advance before you can get an alignment.
I got Riken Raptor tires which are made by Michelin.
Hope this helps someone with tire noise and wear.

Factory Toyos = suckage.
I lost control of the car with them. I swerved to miss a guy that pulled out in front of me in my lane. It wasn't a swerve I should have lost control. I ended up smashing both driver side wheels into the concrete curb, destroying both wheels, wheel hubs, and front strut.
I have had Michelin Pilot Exaltos on the car since. Been GREAT tires, wet or dry, and they wear slower than the Toyos.
I say anything Michelin gets my vote. Good choice.

Most new cars come w/barely adequate tires.
There are many replacement tires that will also be either noisy right away or as they wear.
Shop carefully when it comes time.
My current rubber are the continental DWS All-Seasons and I love them too. Again, not noisy, wear well and do not seem to hydroplane at all!! These are the best of now four sets of tires I've had on mine. We have a set on my wife's Vibe too. In fact I liked hers so much that I couldn't wait for the Kumho'S i had then to wear out so I could try out a set on the Mazda!!
