Hello all, new to the forum here.

I need some input about window tinting. I can't decide and no one I know is very helpful, most are actually rather lame. My husband tells me to get whatever, my friend said to do what he does to his cars; 5 in back and 20 in front. My brother says to stay legal... But his BMW has 20's all around and he can't make it a week without some sort of ticket for something.

I'm not a huge fan of having darker in the back and lighter up front, granted all my cars before this one has it like that and my truck currently has that look.

With this car, it's a clean canvas. There's nothing on the windows, otherwise I probably would've just stuck to factory since I have 3 girls (9 and up) and they keep me pretty broke.

Between the states here, I live in IA, work in NE. IA is 70 up front anything in back. Sorry, Iowa... 70 up front has never happened in my life. NE is 35 up front and 20 in back. The car is a black, with black leather 2017 Mazda3 Touring. So I want something that looks nice, doesn't scream "I'm trying to be 18 again".

I feel 20 all around will give me issues from both states, and being on a black car may appear even darker. Thinking maybe 30/35 all around might be too light, but could keep me from being pulled over. And the shop wants to just do the legal limits such as 35/20 which I'm not so sure on. And that's pretty much why I am here. What do you guys have on your cars? What would you suggest? Pictures would be awesome too!

 

If you go illegal you run a higher risk of being stopped at night. Ask a professional installer.
