In my 2007 2.0, I got 25.6 mpg on the second tank and 21.6 mpg on the third tank. Have about 850 miles on the car. 99% city driving must really bring the mileage down, but this seems quite low compared to the Speed3 responses and the manufacturer's EPA estimate.

I would not expect good mileage in 90% city driving. 21MPG sounds fine at that. Do you ever use 5th or 6th gears? I'm in top gearfor more than 90% of the distances I drivemost of the time.

I'm beginning to wonder if something may be a little off, but I'm sure it should throw a CEL if things were much out of spec. I just thought I should average 27 or more. Not gonna bitch too much, though; it's a small price to pay forthat much fun!

I'm driving about 75% around town, 25% highway, and my combined average is only 22. But I do tend to put my foot in it quite a bit

That will do it! I'm trying to stay off of it a bit so I don't have to replace tires in February onthe car I just got in November.

Someone posted in the S3 owners thread, they had 5k miles on the tires, and they looked fine. I intend to rotate mine at 5k, even though the manual suggests 7.5k

That was most likely me. It sits around 6300 miles today, I think. I may rotate the tires next week when I get the oil changed again. They don't appear to be wearing unevenly, but the fronts are a little rounder on the edges, which is to be expected.

1036 miles as of today, 65% city driving, computer has never been reset and says 25.2mpg, but my exact records have me at 23.2mpg with individual tankfuls ranging from 22.1 to 24.3 mpg. All-in-all, pretty good I'd say...

Closing in in 8000 miles on MS3, and averaging 26MPG. Less than I expected, but it's not bad.

Oil consumption is downright shocking, though. See my comment on "Stupid Dipstick" thread. I think it uses a quart of synthetic in 1000 miles now (but it's hard to tell). I've never had a car use anywhere near this much oil.
