i was only going about 2 mph pulling into a parking spot in a parking lot...its just that its thin plastic mesh, not too sturdy, ya know?

i gotcha... sorry to hear that. i didn't think it would have broken apart so much... well now you can go ahead and get some nice customized mesh for your grille!

yeah, it stinks but ****e happens...i was considering getting something aftermarket to fill up that big hole, but i think im just going to get mazda's mesh again. it just looks the part. im afraid of getting some different mesh, i dont want to hurt the appearance of my car.

haha thanks. yes, i think the black grill compliments my car nicely. i just ordered the a replacement in from mazda parts department...it was something like $57 and change. it amazes me how expensive simple parts like this can be.

Sad to hear it, which lowering springs did you use? I am looking forward to lower mine with Eibach Pro or H&R Sport springs, the same in lowering rate and similar in handling but still afraid to do it, because of the curbs, or maybe i should buy one of those rear parking sensors, have them in the fron too, to be able not to park too close when the ride lowered.

i used Tein Basic Coilovers.

and that would be really nice to have a sensor in the front of the car to keep from humping the curb. good idea.
