Default Shift solenoid fault code in manual transmission Mazda 3 1.6L

Hi,

I just became the owner of a Mazda 3 2004 1.6L petrol engine. The drives great and I have no problems with the car. The only thing is that the check engine light is on. I connected the computer to the car and it turns out there is an error P0768, P0773 and P0763 which points to shift solenoid D, E and C. The only thing is that I thought there aren't any shift solenoids in the car because it is a manual transmission.

Does anyone know why these faults could occur and better yet how to repair it?

Kind regards,
Sebastian

Whist investigating I also found an error code regarding the internal temperature sensor of the ECU and an error code that shows there was a low voltage from the battery. My idea is that it might be a computer or cable problem. I will start checking the wiring. Anybody else that had trouble with different fault codes that are not consistent with each other?

Clear the codes. go for a drive & see if any codes come back.

Thank you for your reply. I cleared the codes, went for a drive and checked them again. Stil the same codes. Also, from time to time, my interior lights won't switch on when I switch on my headlights. When I try a couple of more times it works again. Because I am changing the two lights on the back panel of the airco control I found that, when I remove the light of the cigarette depository, the interior lights start flashing multiple times per second and a small beek tone with it. When I put the light back in it is usually gone but sometimes I have to wiggle it a bit.

Seems to me like it is a ground issue. What do you guys think.

In addition to that it seems that the lights of the radio dim as soon as I switch on the headlight. As soon as I switch them of the radio is brighter again. Another thing is that when I start the car and read the fault codes the P2088 is there. When I erase them with a running engine that fault code does not come back. It comes back at the moment the car starts again.

What condition is the battery in? What's the output of the alternator with & without load?

Just measured the voltages at the battery.

car off: 12,0 Volts
car on stationary: 13,7 Volts
car on 2500 rpm: 13,3 Volts
