Default security on factory head unit?

I have a 6 disc changer and one of the cds got jammed and the cd function wouldn't work. radio and everything was fine, but i thought id check the fuse anyway. the fuse was still good so i got some instructions on how to pull the unit out of the console, but didnt unplug the battery first. now when i tried to put the unit back in and connect it, it won't turn on at all.

does anybody know if the factory units have a theft measure for unplugging the units? in other words, since i didnt unplug the battery before removing it, does the unit now "think" its stolen and won't turn on as a precaution? i didnt know if mazda had something like this or not, so any feedback would be helpful. i was told there could be a code to enter to "start" it up again.

thanks

In the US the stereos don't have an anti theft system like that, but I'm told that some Euro. countries do. Make sure the plug is seated firmly in the back of the HU. I've pulled my HU multiple times and have rarely disconnected the battery.
