Seat Belts
I have 2017 Mazda Mazda and wanted to replace the seat belt on driver's side. 1) I found a use 1 from 2012 Mazda 3. Will this belt fit? Also, when I install the seat belt, do I have to disconnect the battery before installing because Im afraid the airbag might deploy? Need help please with these 2 questions. Thank you so much.

Seat belts have a safety life. I would recommend finding a seat belt from something a little closer to you production month and year if possible If not make sure to extend the belt complete and carefully examine the webbing and if there is any color fading.
Most applications do not require you to disconnect the battery to remove or install a safety belt. The SRS will not activate while changing them. But if you would feel safer disconnecting them is a good peace of mind procedure.
