Default Replacing Shifter Cable? Remove whole dash?

Hey guys I may have to replace my shifter cable in my 2011 mazda 3 automatic. Is this a crazy hard thing to do? I have heard you may have to remove the entire dash? I have a guy that is going to help my and kinda looking for a heads up for what I am in for. Thanks!

Don't touch the dash.

Remove the centre console in its entirety.
Remove the battery, battery box & airbox.
Unbolt & remove the shift cable.

Easy peasy.

Wow this is great news man! I was reading some horror stories about people having to take the whole dash out on Mazdaspeed cars to get this fixed. Thanks so much.
