My antenna mast/rod broke and became brittle w tx heat. Id like to replace it with a shorter one but none of the replacement adapters fit.... The screw threads are fine in the OEM antenna and the replacement adapters threads are way to thick/separate. Any ideas other than just to order an OEM mast/rod?
