Reinforced hatch lock

Reinforced hatch lock
I have a 2007 mazda 3 hatchback (not a speed3, even though its probably the same part for both) with 2 12" subs at around 1100 watts that i keep at around half power. My trunk lock broke from the bass (the metal L bracket snapped where it bends at) i took it out and welded it back together and kept it under 25% power, after a week it broke again. (when it breaks you can no longer open the hatch) Does anyone know where i can find a reinforced lock (the part thats inside the hatch door) that can take a serious beating from subs. (just so you can visualize the kind of stress this lock gets, with the windows down and the subs at 65% power you can feel it from about a half mile away)
Also, I heard somewhere that the mazda 3 came with optional paddle shifters from factory, does anyone know where i could buy that for my car? It doesnt have to be OEM, i just want paddle shifters for when i drive in manual mode (Yes, i drive an automatic. Yes, i know the manual is better. but, with these subs if i had a manual it would most likely break something)
