My left rear shock is leaking (at 52K) and I want to replace all 4 shocks with something that will give me performance and a decent ride in Oakland (CA - lots of potholes). The dealer is only focused on their original parts which blew out at 50K and which do not have a life time warranty like others do.

Any recommendations for a great, trustworthy independent Mazda mechanic wit experience with non standard shocks -- doing shock upgrades? in the Oakland/Berkeley area?
