I just purchased a new 2007 mazda 3s GT sedan (black - mica). it came with a rear wing spoiler, which i do not like. I'm sure i'm capable of removing the spoiler myself, but I don't know what i'd do about the holes. does anyone know what this might cost me? do you think I could trade my spoiler in at a dealer for the service? any advice? thanks.

Why not search for a deck lid with a lip spoiler or no spoiler @ all from a salvage yard? There are plenty of black mica's out there and as far as I know any year should fit.
That may be your cheapest way out. And you'll still have the other deck lid should you chose to sell the car.
Or, post a WTT on all of the Mazda forums and see what happens. It can't hurt and some one will surly want your deck lid/spoiler combo.

 

if you dont want your spoiler ill take it lol. i like them :P

 

yea, I told the dealer I would not take the car unless they added the spoiler, I think it adds so much to the 3, but again we all have our own opinions! I would def. try to find another one at the junk yard.!

 

thanks for the responses. i'd be glad to trade with someone who has either a lip spoiler or none at all. i'll check some salvage yards, but it's unlikely there will be one.

i think the mazda6 looks bare without a spoiler, but i feel like it takes away from the sophiticated look of the mazda3. the reason i liked the mazda3 so much was because it had a european look to it; like a saab or something. and i can't picture one of those cars with a spoiler. but that's just my opinion. everyone is different.
