Default rear seat removal

I am a new owner of a 3 and I love it. I need to run a few wires …

Can any one tell me how to remove the rear seat of a hatchback?

I got it.

There are two U-shaped peices near the leading edge of the under side of the seat that nearly divide the seat in thirds.

Get as close as you can on either side of the fitting and pull up.

Or put a full backpack on the back seat floor and try to pull it out from behind the front seat without moving the seat forward. That's how my cushion came loose.

Beware when you do this though. The two U-shaped metal bars on the seat cushion go into black clips that are mounted in the floor pan of the car. Most likely those clips are going to pull out. I epoxied mine back to the floor pan, but after about 6 months they came loose again (also when pulling a full bag from the floor).
