Default Rear brakes recommendation? 2014 hatchback

Looks like it's time to replace the rear brakes on my 2014 3 hatchback. The dealer is pricing it at $475 including labor and rotors ($281 parts alone) , and so is a local independent shop, using genuine parts. Seems a little high, so I'm looking for recommendations for quality after market brakes.

That actually sounds about right. It sounds like they are taking 2 hours of labor though which I would question for just 2 wheels.

The problem with not using mazda recommended parts is it may invalidate your warranty.

Aftermarket parts, from a reputable supplier, that are "fit for use" will not void your warranty.

Why are the rotors being replaced? they should last 200,000kms / 120,000 miles without wearing out.

Two hours is excessive, we get 1 hr to replace either front or rear pads, which is plenty of time. Add 1/2 hr to replace both rotors.
