Default Question about dashlight in a Mazda 3 CiTD

I own a Mazda 3 CiTD (1.6 110 hp turbodiesel).
On the rpm gauge there seems to be a spot for a indication but I cant find any reference to it in the book. Any suggestions?
p.s. there is a nice picture of my car when it was new (nov 2006)at the top of the page here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazda_3

Yes it is a diesel and no, it's not the glowplug indicator.
The GP indicator doesnt show on the foto but it is actuallythere with the other indicators around the centre of the qauge. Just recently (temp is just below freezing now) I have seen the GP light up for the first timejustfor a fraction of a second when turning on the ignition.

I thought maybe it could be a shiftlight for gasoline engines..?

Well then, I don't know. My tach doesn't look quite like that, really and I have no light where that one on your seems to be.
Could it be an over-boost (turbo) indicator? Or a low oil in the turbo indicator?

I don't know. I'm grabbing at straws.

Have you spoken to your dealer about it?

WOW!!! 11.6 sec to 62mph (100km/h.) Not gonna be burning up to muchtarmac w/that one.
What kind of mileage does it get? Km/litre, or mpg?

No offense to our little oil burning cousin, but I will take my little over 7 seconds to 62 MPH also [8D]

Ditto... unless a Speed3 was in my future, which it's not @this time!

No offense intended, mazda3citd. I would like to know what that light is for though, so I hope you'll write and tell us when you find out?

Not sure but I think just in Europe. The engine is actuallyfrom PSA (Citroen/Peugeot) and is, besides PSAenMazda, usedby Ford, Volvo and Mini.
