Question about dashlight in a Mazda 3 CiTD

Well then, I don't know. My tach doesn't look quite like that, really and I have no light where that one on your seems to be.
Could it be an over-boost (turbo) indicator? Or a low oil in the turbo indicator?

There is an automatic overboost function when you go full throttle from the 3rd gear on but this doesnt have an indicator. I dont think there is an lowoil pressure/level indicator other then the normal oilpress. light.

No offense intended, mazda3citd. I would like to know what that light is for though, so I hope you'll write and tell us when you find out?

I just called my dealer.
He doesnt know either but its also there in gasoline cars in the showroom.
He thinks it maybe use in 'other markets' but he isnot sure what for..
I am not sure about their expertise as I went one time to ask if my foglights could be adjusted a bit higher and after fiddling around with it a bit they said it could not be adjusted which I cant imagine.

The Mazda dealers, especially, seemed to be about as well informed as our FBI, and about as intelligent as our current administration.

Maybe it comes on just before the system runs completely dry.
Could it be forlow headlight washer fluid? I hadn't thought of that before because in the States, we don't get HL washers, but you Europeans do I believe?
You also have a rear fog light built into the left taillight. Could it be to indicate that "it" is on?

The front (and rear) foglights have separate indicators that show up on the speedometer.
I got a M3 diesel 2007 bought in Norway (Europe), and i was curious about this light myself there was no information in the owners manual about it. Try to empty your window washerfluid and you wil find out (on my Mazda theres one tank for headlight, rear and front window) Driving in Norway at winther with snow/ice and a lot of salt on the roads i use a lot of washerfluid and the yellow dashlight comes on when im low on fluid.
