Sorry forgot to mention that the car is a Mazda 3

Hi my power seat generates a terrible noise when moving it in horizontal direction. In Sweden Mazda provides a 10-year warranty that did unfortunately not cover the power seats. The mechanic at Mazda told me it was a small power motor that's generating the noise.

The question i've got for you is what OEM number the electrical motor may have? Is this present in any older Mazda models?

The dealer couldn't find any spare part for that particular power engine but the whole unit that the seat is mounted on, for the bargain 1300$.

I wonder if you kindly could help me out to find the manufacturer and model of that particular motor. That would spare me a lot of pain.

Alot of Mazda's with eletric seats are sold as a complete seat base. have you tried dismantlers/ wreckers?

 

I've checked all scrapyards in Sweden for a seat base. All that was available was w/o power and extremely pricey. The car is not very old and the optimum edition with power seats is not very common in Sweden.

Do you know if there's any scrapyard that can ship to Sweden?
