Default PO455

Engine light turned on, reads PO455. Anyone having the same problem, it happened once (gas cap)and now twice(unknown). I also did have aftermarket CAI and exhaust install. I was wondering did the mods turn on my engine light.

P0455 is a code indicating that the evaporative emission system has a very large leak. This system is designed to contain all of your fuel vapors to ensure that they do not escape into the atmosphere and cause environmental damage. Your CAI and exhaust should not create any problems with this system. Blaming the fuel filler cap is a common thing to happen but actually is rarely the case. If you fill your own tank then just make sure that the cap clicks a few times when screwing it back on. If you live in a state like mine that will not allow you to fill your own tank then double check to make sure it is clicking and tight after a refuel. A lot of purge control valve problems as well as leak detection pumps not sealing up properly is more likey the culprit.

So, you must live in NJ? That's the only place that I know of that won't let you pump your own gas/fuel. Damn backward of 'em too.
I grew up in Pa right across the river, though don't live there anymore.

I had not heard of any purge control valve problems before. I'm not doubting you, just curious if there is a TSB, or recall that I am unaware of that I should be aware of? Only got one year or 20K left on the warranty. I gotta' get what I can while I still can.
