Default Please help with my new Mazda 3 DPF issue :(

Hi All,

Hoping someone can help me.. With my first Mazda, it is a Mazda 3 1.6 HDI 2006.

I bought my first Mazda 3 and recently found out it has DPF issues ( few days). I did a lot of reading on the internet and found the car is a Focus pretty much and got some software called Ford-Scan.

The problem is when driving the car loses a lot of power and struggles to go. I get a lot of error codes (listed below.) we have tried a forced regen which was successful but has made no difference and fault is still there.

Code: P2584 - Fuel Additive Control Module MIL Request

Code: P2458 - Diesel Particulate Filter Regeneration Duration

Code: P242F - Diesel Particulate Filter Restriction - Ash Accumulation

Code: P2455 - Particulate Matter Trap Differential Pressure Sensor Circuit High

Code: P1927 - Fuel Additive Level Too Low/Empty

Code: P1932 - Fuel Additive Level Low

Code: P1922 - Fuel Additive Level Circuit

Anyone got any ideas? I have been searching the forums and it seems I may have to put some fluid in? can anyone please advise what need to do? My partner can do the work, he is just used to doing stuff with VW/Skoda and has no experience with DPF so it is up to me to find out.

Thanks, all help will be appreciated

Mazda never bought the 1.6 to my market, "fuel additive" may be ADD Blue. Its a urea based fluid used in the exhaust system to reduce emissions.

What does your owners manual say about Add Blue?
