Hey there... just had a strange issue that maybe someone here could shed some light on. I just bought a 2007 3i about three weeks ago. I special ordered a front mask(bra) two weeks ago at the dealer because they didn't have any in stock. When I went in to pick it up they didn't have it, so the parts guy called "Mazda direct" to see what the problem was. After the call he tells me that Mazda has not yet approved the mask as an official accessory and they have no idea when or even if it will become available. I'm kinda annoyed now being that they told me it was available and I paid for it up front. Yeah, I got my money back but I'm still disappointed about the misinformation. Has anyone heard about this kind of thing? I know a silly front mask isn't something to get all broken up about, but I'd really like to get one soon to preserve the front end of my car. I commute about 200 miles a day(2700 miles on it so far in less than 3 weeks!) and the bugs and rocks are beginning to take there toll on my shiny new ride. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

 

Unless you remove that thing constantly to clean under it, it will do more damage (scratching/scuffing) to your cars paint than the bugs will. I'd go without if it were me. (Look into the 3M protective films that are available if you really want to protect your paint.)
