Just picked up a silver Mazda3 iTouring this morning! I had the dealer throw in window tint as part of the deal. However, I can't decide on which of the following I should go with. I'll note I prefer the clean, elegant look to the "pimped" look:

Check your state's laws on tinting. Trucks and SUVs have different requirements than autos, and auto tinting requirements will vary by state. I didn't get that dark of a tint, but it's neutral and blends well with the color of the car. I think I got the 20% all the way around. Living up in the very northern part of the 48 states, I didn't want it too dark since noon here in Dec is about as bright as 3 pm in SF Bay Area.

 

personally...i like 20% all around....ive had 35 and it just didnt seem dark enough...(for my tastes)...

 

As stated above stick to your states law concerning tint. I live in TX and we must comply with the 2nd option you listed. DO NOT opt for the less expensive tint if you plan on keeping the car for a long time, you get what you pay for!

 

i've got a white 3 that i did 30% on each of the windows. i think if you are going to tint, you should keep it all the same for continuity purposes.

 

My tint is 35% front/25% rear, it actually looks very nice, there is not a huge difference between the two

 

yea tinting is different, since in my state guns are pretty much legal anywhere tinting can't be very dark

 

I have 20% all around. I like it a lot..gives a nice clean look.

 

Not sure how current this is...but it's probably a good start...

I have 20% all around, but it is illegal here in florida, and you know what you won't be fined for you windows titnt untill you break another law (speeding or something else).
