Default navigation by voice is not currently available

Hi,

I picked up my new Mazda 3 nav sport recently. Upon collection the sales guy tried to show me the voice navigation but it didn't work. He said it was due to not having my mobile blue toothed. I've tried since having it connected and I get the same issue. It just talks to me with "entering navigation by voice is not currently available". I don't know why he thought the mobile phone was the cause as nav is on sd card. I can nav using the controller successfully. I've checked the manual but can see a reason. I've tried with the engine running and when not but no luck. I'm in the uk with a uk spec model.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thx in advance.

Regards

Bobby

Default

If you go into settings on the sat nav screen, you can adjust the navigation volume.

Not sure if you can change the voice to another acent/ or female to male, but some other nav units won't give full verbal commands if you change the default voice.

On the main menu of the MZD connect in the last menu ( I think ) you can carry out a " Factory reset". Try that and see if that fixes it.

Otherwise give the service department a ring & get them to check it out.

Default some progress.

Thanks for the reply grim_reaper. I've made a little progress. My home address is in the system. Saying "navigate home" works but new addresses don't. Am planning to go to dealer at the weekend.
