I just purchased a white 2007 Mazda 3 Sports GT and I have concluded that the absence of mud guards will be rather tiresome. Less than a week old and there's already mud splashed behind the tires.

I phoned the dealership and he said that there are no mud guards that fit this car. Is that true? If not, what do you recommend?

 

No they are not yet available from Mazda and no word on if they will be or not. The problem is that the side sill extensions are in the way. Mazda will have to design a mudguard that works around the side sills.

 

Look into the Powerflow brand, made in Canada. They have two that work and look good on the 3.Type "A's" are plain flat and easy to installF or R.
The more formed ones are #1's (F) and #2's (R), but require trimming and fitting.

Well, the powerflow ones kind of look bad. I don't want to put that on my shiny new car!

I'll have to wipe the mud off regularly then I suppose...

 

I'm worried about that as well, since they need to be cut to fit, why not just use stock mudflaps and cut em up to fit the side extensions?

 

[color=navy]If installed correctly they're hardly noticable @ all. 'Course the darker the color of the car the less they'll be seen.

It all depends how much time and effort you want to put into fitting them properly and also whether you wanna look cool now, or later.... It's a practical solution, if not the coolest one.
Though I have the mudflaps already I have not because Iam waiting to do my suspension drop first.

Well, there is that possibilty, but have you priced them, or anything else from Mazda??The last time I looked, and iirc, they were $45/pr. $90/set.
