Hey all thanks for any help in advance.

My buddy recently got t-boned in his regular 2006 Mazda 3. I convinced him to get the speed3 as his next car because I also own a turbo hatch. Well he got a used 1st gen speed3 and of course he bent a rod within the first month because his turbo seals broke (didn't know it would be a problem.) So he bought a completely stock engine from Japan to replace his American one. We have it in there and the wiring was all cut of course did all the wire repair very carefully. It was just the two terminal wires and all of the positive wires coming from the fuze box. We identified them all and matched correctly. It will not crank still and the ECU is ticking. We have swapped Subaru engines before but this is new to me does he need to reflash his ecu or is it still possibly a wiring issue? Any help is much appreciated thanks!

 

You would be better off using his original wiring loom & sensors.
