You should probably also buy the correct ECU and a knock sensor. It would be cheaper if you found them used in a junkyard or on the internet. I'm not sh=ure which ECu you'll need as I'm not sure if one was ever made for the 2.0 as a turbo in your model. You might be able to get the ECU for the 626GT of the late 80's (U.S. model) but that means you might need to find the correct MAF unless you happen to already have it. The Ford Probe 1st generation turbo (U.S. model) is the same engine as the 626GT IIRC and that might expand the possibilities. Then, again, somebody jump in and let me know if I might be wrong here. Then again, not seeing your wiring harness, I don't know if the plugs would match up. Do some research. You could run a turbo with your stock ECU but run the risk of starving your engine of fuel since your stock ECU doesn't know that there's a turbo. It won't increase the amount of fuel flow to the engine that is necessary under boost. This causes a lean mixture and you can burn valves.

Since it might be very difficult to get a really HD head gasket for that model of engine, I suggest keeping the boost lower or near what stock boost would be (6 lbs.?).....

You should probably get a boost gauge also so that you know what kind of boost you're running.

Good luck.
