Hello! This is my very first thread on the forms and I'm happy to be here and see the community! So I am 16 and its the time to look for a first car. As my brain says "Speed 3" I have come here to know if it would be a good first choice. Yes, I am well aware of the power this vehicle has! My dad has owned 3 Speed3's in the past so I am well aware of the scary amount of power for first-time drivers. While the last 3 he owned was in 09' (so it has been a while) I would like to know if under responsible hands if the MS3 would still be a good first car? There is one for sale there is an 08 for $5200 with 157k and for full coverage, I am looking at $1200 yr for insurance. I am also getting into the tuner scene and I have fallen in LOVE with the sound of the MS3 as well. I have even looked at some of the regular 3 hatches but I thought the MS3 would be a good mix of power, practicality, safety, and a bit of fun in one. While I also have not been behind the seat of the MS3 I would love to hear everyone's opinion for a first-time driver with a good bit of experience driving. I am all open to hearing everything! Also looking at the Golf GTI's as well and regular Golf's. Hope everyone has an amazing day!
