Does anyone on Earth know when the 2008 MAZDASPEED 3 CAI comes out? Please help. I called ALL the "mazdaspeed" dealers in my area and they are "changing the intake" for 2008 for some reason. I don't know why. I don't care, really. I just want one now! Thanks-

 

if its anything like the normal 3, there is bolt/nut/screw on the outer part of the frame rail, so you will either have to
A) remove the front bumper or
B) remove the driver's wheel and inner plastic fender to remove it.

 

Here's the scoop. The intake for the Mazdaspeed3 2008 is being tested by CARB. So until then it is not 50 state legal. It may be the same as the 07, and it probably will, but CARB may want to alter it.

That said. I can say that there's no reaon the 07 intake won't go on your '08 and operate like it should. But, for legal reasons, Mazda won't authorize the intake for the '08. If you bought one, it would have no warranty.

it is now 4-15-08. 4-15-08!!!!!! I've called around about once a month. Guess what??? NO INTAKE!! WTF??!@#@#$#@!! I am seriously getting upset. Not just upset... but like... my feelings are hurt upset. Seriously, it takes a lot to hurt my feelings and they are some hurt feelings right now. Anyways- anybody know what is going on? or still care??

Now Mazda has issued a stop sale on all turbo car intakes. They are causing CEL on cars that have had a PCM reflash. They won't let us sell them until further notice.

 

Time to look to CPE for an intake.

Mine works great on the CX7. Though I will have to pull it for smog checks..
