Default Mazdaspeed 3 burning oil?

Hey everyone.

I checked my oil today, and I saw that some of my oil was missing, just like the last time I checked it at the last oil change. On the stick, I've lost about 1/5 - 1/4 of the oil, and I don't understand where its going.

How can I easily tell if it's burning oil and is burning oil common on the Speed3?

Burning oil is, from all I have read, not normal for the speed. However, you may be having turbo seal problems. That is all I know that will cause a turboed speed to use excessive oil... and is not all that uncommon, for an '07 at least. The newer ones seem to have a more advanced/better/stronger seal.
Having an '08, I would think that warranty still applies. Take it to the dealer to have it checked and make sure they actually do that. Don't let 'em get away with NOTHIN'!!

Thanks virgin1. I'll have the dealer check it when the oil change comes up in another 500 miles.
