RE: mazda3 2008 foglights
My wife has little regard for her vehicles, she will park up front next to someone and then complain about door dings, so needless to say, she to this day has never driven or does she want to drive my pick up since she does not want to park it somewhere where is won't get hurt and walk.

haha fair enough. my mom is the same way.. my dad is like me. always taking care of our cars.. if there is a scratch ill get pissed (brothers hockey bag.. literally almost killed him i was soo pissed) and my dad is the same way he gets one and gets REALLY MAD. my mom isnt like that. she wont even notice it untill me or my dad tells her.. and she never washes it or even takes it through the carwash. its the fact that about 90% of females that dont even care about their cars and think its just something to get from a to b. for guys its life. simple as that.

You have to look at the back of the lens assembly to be sure about that.
Here's aHB (5-dr) light assemfrom the back.
They are not adjustable side to side, but they are up and down.
If you look at the picture above, you will see two screws on the left (look for the white bushing,) and the right. The screw at the bottom of the pic simply keeps the light from moving. If they are all loosened, the lens can be adjusted up or down.
It may be different in Europe, but I'd look before taking anyone's word for it, especially a dealers.

Thanks for that picture and explanation Virgin1!
It's hard to see if this is the same type.
Problem is that you can only see the back of the foglights when you remove some paneling underneath the car..
I do want my dealer to adjust them before the warantee runs out. At the moment they beam about1-2 meters in front of the car.

I'd say that's pretty typical. Mine were low too, but evennow that I've adjusted them up a bit, they are still pretty useless, though not completely. I've just resigned myself that they are there more for show than effectiveness.
And the pic is of a north American HB fog, but I would think (***-of-u-&-me) they would be similar in design and features.

Pitty! I dont like those type of things just for show on a car.
Brings us back to the original question:
Are there any better aftermarket foglights?
