Default Mazda OEM rims on a MS3?

Hi everyone, new Mazda owner - picked up my MS3 cosmic blue last friday. I have what is probally a common question, but I can't for the life of me find the answer anywhere!

I want to get a cheap set of rims for snow tires for the winter - I'd like to get 16" rims as Nokkia makes snow tires in the right size. Will 16" rims fit over the MS3 brakes?

Also, since I'm looking for beater rims, what stock mazda's came with 16" rims that will work on the MS3? Are there models that also came with the TPMS? I would really help in narrowing down my searches for used rims.

Thanks!

I've had great luck running snow tires on stock Mazda6 17x7" wheels in a 205/50R17 size. (Dunlop Wintersport M3's....awesome)

17's are as small as will fit over your big brakes.
Look for steelies that are a 5x114.3 (4.5") bolt pattern, BUT the kicker is going to be getting an off-set you can live with. OE is +52.5mm.That's gonna be a little harder as it's quite a deep (Ooops!!)positive offset by most standards. I'd try to stay within 5-7 mm's of that if I were you. +45, +48, +50mm.

The 17x7 Mazda6 wheel is a +60mm and fit fine on my 3.

I don't know if anyone has triedOE 6 wheelson the MS3 though Saint.
W/the bigger brakes and altered suspension geometry I'm thinking (perhaps incorrectly) that the additional offset may not work? As I'd said, I don't know of anyone that's tried so this is only a possibility/concern that crossed my mind.

The only reason I mentioned the offsets I did in my reply post is that they are pretty typical for aftermarket wheels... all except the +50mm. Very few seem to offer that offset. I was lucky w/the Kosei's.
