Mazda Axela rpm drop off whilst driving
Hi all,
Hope someone can help. The car is a 2014 Mazda Axela 2.2 diesel automatic turbo Jap import into New Zealand.
It has recently developed a worrying habit. When driving under load in suburban or motorway environments with the accelerator pedal in one spot the cars rpm will suddenly slowly drop away. no amount of movement of the accelerator pedal makes a difference. I can pull over, turn engine off and then back on and its fine.
Im not sure yet if the accelerator is a hard linkage or ' fly by wire' but Im thinking its an electronic issue as its intermittent at this stage and seems to be able to be reset if I cycle the engine.
Any thoughts welcome, thanks in advance.
Dusty
