Mazda Alexa Hybrid fuel economy
Hi all, I'm driving a 2014 Axela (Mazda 3) Hybrid. The fuel economy display on the infotainment screen shows an average of 6 litres per 100km (39 mpg)... should I be expecting more economy from this car? Great to drive BTW.
That is the lifetime average I think, not sure if it can be reset. It has dropped a bit now to 5.3l/km. I've only owned her for a week, she's a used car with 130,000km (80,000 miles) on the clock. The claimed figure from Mazda is 3.2l/km (73mpg)
It is resettable. I think if you hold done the info button until it beeps it resets. Either buy a translated owners manual, or visit a Mazda dealer and ask them for instructions from a NZ new model 3.
Still getting similar figures, time for a new hybrid battery?
Any other Axela/Mazda 3 hybrid owners out there? I'd be keen to hear your MPG figures.
How did you get it down to 4.3? Mines sitting at 5.1 at the moment aka 19.5L per 100km. Not sure when a new battery should be bought. And is it normal to switch from battery to petrol when stationery?
