Default mazda 3 sport sluggish

DOES ANYONE NOTICE IF THERE M3SPORT KIND OF FEELS LIKE IT GOGGS IN 1st GEAR WHEN YOU FLOOR IT AT LOW RPMs WITH THE STANDARD SHIFT BUT KICKS IN AT HIGHER REVS.

yea i have noticed it. it goes slow and then you floor it and it revs high. thats normal i think. i asked my mazda dealership about it... they said that is normal because apparently thatsh ow the engine was built to do. whatever

You may be feeling the VVT kicking in @ higher speeds. Since first is the lowest gear (highest numerically) transferring the most torque to the wheels and through the car,you would notice it most in that gear... unless you drivereally fast in reverse, of course.
Mine has never been that great off the line. It tends to stumble a bit and I have to back-pedal orslip the clutch more than I'd like to get under way from a dead stop. But by the same token, once moving, it's quite easy to break the tires loose, especially in the rain or when accelerating uphill, so transferring too much torque at low speeds is not good either. That's why they electronically limit the Speed3 in the first two gears.
