Mazda 3 sedan compared to mazdaspeed/ hatchback
I have looked up various parts and just recently ordered a CAI for my mazda 3 sedan.. it goes for the mazda speed 3 and from the look of the picture and the descripiton looks like it can fit my sedan..(note it dose say it fits sedans) but my point is that the mazda 3 hatchback's engine compartment looks just like the sedans.. as well as the interior.. is the only difference in the rear and how the exhaust system is set up ? ( the sedan has a "channel" under the car that the exhaust runs under).
What im tryin to get at is can the sedan use all of the same modifications at the hatchback model ??

Me tinks yuz guyz are confusing the Speed3, with the Mazdaspeed accessory parts.
I really don't think you can put a Speed3 intake on an NA car w/o a lot of problems (e.g. a CEL at least.) But you could put the Mazdaspeed CAI on it, which is built by AEM and designed to work on the NA cars. Like this one... mine.
BTW: The sedan is 1.68" longer than the HB, so if you install an exhaust designed for the hatch, you may have to extend it a little so as not to melt/burn the rear bumper.
