Default mazda 3 headlight issues

I've got a 2005 mazda 3 and the low beam headlight's keep burning out. has anyone else ever had this issue, and sometimes the headlights dont even come on. ive checked and cleaned the connections. After i do that they work for about a week then its back to not working. any idea's or suggestions?

Some of the 1st gen 6 series cars are known to have an issue like this. This is the first I am hearing of a 3 series blowing HL bulbs?
In short, no, this is a first.
Have you had the alternator checked for excessive voltage output? Or not enough current?
