My Mazda 3 2019 model is not starting. No light on the cluster is coming on except the green key light when I push the brake pedal while attempting to start. please help me. The car battery is still new, and that of the key fob. The key fob does lock and unlock the doors.

 

I wish people that own vehicles would STOP posting what they think (which is never correctly reported anyway ) the age (manufactured not by sale date) of their battery.


So................ the first thing that needs to be done is to have your battery load tested. Keep in mind that your battery must have at least 12.5 volts minimum for an accurate test or the results will indicate charge and retest.

hen and ONLY AFTER the battery tests as good, the terminals at the battery need to be checked for a good clen connection. After which follow the positive cable from the battery terminal down to the starter and insure it is clean not damaged and has a good connection. Then the most important connection is the ground cable at the point where it is mounted on the body. This cable bolt should be removed and the mounting area clean and the cable reinstalled.

If at this point the engine does not start then it will require to start looking at the main power relays and also to scan the ECU at the OBDII diagnostic connector.
